It’s all too familiar for people in Israel: voting in yet another parliamentary election.

For the fourth time in two years, Israeli voters head to the polls to pick a Prime Minister. The election was necessary after the latest minority government collapsed in December.

It’s not certain if much with change with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu still holding strong support with strong opposition outraged as his government’s initial handling of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as an ongoing court case into corruption charges.

Netanyahu has decried the charges as a witch hunt.

Despite anger at the spread of the novel coronavirus, Israel has been one of the fastest country’s in vaccinating its people.

Results of the election will be slower to report due to measures to limit spread of the virus.
