Amid rising I-C-U admissions, the province is moving to loosen restrictions. Hair salons and other personal care services can reopen April 12th with capacity limits in regions that are under lockdown including Toronto and Peel Region.

On Monday, March 29, gyms can open to offer outdoor fitness classes and personal training. Doug Ford was asked if his government’s sending mixed messages.

“We’re loosening it up just a little bit, to be outside to get fresh air, I’m going to be frank, people are tired, I’m telling ya, they’re exhausted out there, they need fresh air, but do it very carefully.”

The province is also moving Hamilton to the Grey lockdown zone while the Eastern Ontario Health Unit will move to the second-strictest red-control category.

Ontario’s reporting 2,169 new cases. 682 are in Toronto, 397 in Peel Region, 254 in York, 123 in Durham and 122 in Hamilton.

The Premier also took a shot at the federal government for lack of vaccine supply saying the pharmacies have run out.

“I’ve been very diplomatic, and I’ve been very complimentary, and collaborative with the federal government, but enough is enough, this is becoming a joke.”

Ford is now asking other politicians to put pressure on the federal government.
