A doctor faces a charge of first-degree murder as provincial police investigate what they describe as ”a number of suspicious deaths,” at the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital.
OPP say they were called to the hospital Thursday evening.
Dr. Brian Nadler was charged during a court appearance Friday.
His lawyer, Alan Brass, says the doctor ”maintains his innocence.”
Nadler’s scheduled to next appear in court April 6.
Police are not saying how many deaths are being investigated nor how long they’ve been investigation.
They do say there’s no risk to the public or patient safety and that routine activity at the hospital will not be affected by the investigation.
