Ontario is now offering COVID-19 vaccines to migrant farm workers arriving at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport starting early Saturday morning.

The pilot project begins with shots for 200 workers coming here from Mexico who will be offered the Moderna vaccine upon arrival after they take a mandatory COVID test first.

The government says it will follow up with farms to administer the second dose through local public health units where they work.

There are plans to offer shots to more arriving workers next week.
