Zoomers of a certain age will remember “The Adventures of Rin-Tn-Tin,” in the 1950s.  Lee Aaker, who played Corporal Rusty while in his early teens, has died, alone, unclaimed and indigent.

Paul Petersen, a child star who appeared on the Donna Reed Show, confirmed the news.  According to Petersen’s Facebook page, Aaker died earlier this month in Arizona.

Aaker also had roles in movies like “The Atomic City” in 1952 and “Hondo” 1953. His final gig was on the Lucy Show in 1963.

Lee Aaker was 77.
