DEREK CHAUVIN GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES IN DEATH OF GEORGE FLOYD

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been convicted of murder in last May’s arrest of George Floyd.
After deliberations lasting just over 10-hours, the 12-member jury found Chauvin guilty of all charges, including second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter.
He’ll remain in custody until sentencing in a couple of months.
Outside the courthouse, a crowd of several hundred erupted in cheers.
Witness video captured Chauvin pushing his knee into the neck of the handcuffed Floyd for nearly 9 1/2 minutes.
Chauvin and three other officers were fired the next day.
The other three are to stand trial later year on aiding-and-abetting charges in Floyd’s death which prompted racial justice protests around the world.
