London’s West End continues to prepare to re-open with the hit musical “Hamilton” the latest to join the movement.

“Hamilton” has been shuttered for more than a year but the producer, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, says the award-winning show will return to the Victoria Palace Theatre, August 19th.

A number of other shows are making plans to reopen May 17th with social distancing and from June 21st with no restrictions, provided the UK government’s plans for reopening follow the time table. Among those is Canada’s “Come From Away,” “The Phantom of The Opera” and “The Lion King.”

Mirvish Productions has promised to reopen both “Come From Away” and “Hamilton” in Toronto, just as soon as conditions permit.
