As a further sigh that life in England is returning to a somewhat more normal state.
London’s Royal Albert Hall is planing to begin hosting full-capacity concerts again this summer.
The venue will reopen May 29th with a series of limited-capacity shows, among them, The Royal Choral Society performing a socially distanced version of Handel’s Messiah.
Aside from World War II and last year, the choir has performed the piece at the venue every year since 1876
The Royal Albert hasn’t been fully open to audiences since March of last year.
Full house shows are scheduled to begin July 6th
