Saying it requires a timetable that meets both the anticipated public health measures and teenagers needs, the Toronto District School Board’s decided it will use the ”quadmester” system for high school students for the entire school year starting in September.
This means Toronto teens will continue taking 2 courses from September to mid-November, again from mid-November to January, February to mid-April and then mid-April to the end of June; the same schedule they’ve been on this school year.
The news comes as the Ford government continues struggling with whether to reopen schools next month in areas with low COVID-19 case counts.
All schools have been closed indefinitely since the middle of April.
