CHARLES GRODIN DIES AT 86

Offbeat actor and writer Charles Grodin has died at 86.

He’s best remembered for his role as a cheating newlywed in the 1972 film The Heartbreak Kid.

He also starred in a string of notable films from the ’70’s  onward including  Midnight Run, The Woman in Red  and Heaven Can Wait.

On Broadway, he starred with Ellen Burstyn in the long-running ’70s comedy Same Time, Next Year.

Charles Grodin died Tuesday at his home in Connecticut from bone marrow cancer.
