There is a disturbing story out of a long term care home in Brampton.

Eleven residents did not receive their medications as prescribed, and now a nurse who worked at the home is facing charges.

59 year old Angeline Richardson-Mckenzie of Brampton is charged with 11 counts of failing to provide the necessaries of life.

The CEO of Holland Christian Homes confirms that the home in question is Grace Manor in the area of Mclaughlin Road South and Steeles Avenue West.

Peel Police Constable Akhil Mooken says the 11 residents are all said to be fine and suffered no adverse harm as a result of the alleged actions.

“I don’t know the exact extend of potential medical ramifications that these residents may have had,” Constable Mooken explained on Sunday night, “What I do know is that all of these victims were medically assessed by medical professionals at the long term care home and have since gone back onto their regular routine of medication.”

Grace Manor was among a number of GTA long term care homes where Canadian Forces were deployed by the Ford PCs at Queen’s Park to help manage deadly COVID-19 outbreaks last spring.
