By Friday, the province could reach the target 20 percent of second doses needed before the next phase of the reopening.
So, will the July 2nd date be moved up? Not likely according to the Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer.
“I would say let’s stay the course, we haven’t been in step one for a full week yet, we’re only talking about another fourteen days away, let’s see how we do, because we need to do a lot better,” said Dr. Williams. “But I’m confident if we stay what we’re doing, and with the vaccine roll out, we will get there by the time we predicted with the timelines we put forward.”
Dr. David Williams would also like to get the ICU numbers under 300 , currently that number is 345.
