He was big in the 1980s and Zoomers of a certain vintage could probably sing along with words to “Right Here Waiting.”

The 57 year old singer songwriter from Chicago has written a book called “Stories to Tell” and he’s offering up some career details that fans will find interesting.

At 17, Marx was a back singer on Lionel Richie’s monster hit “All Night Long.”

He also faked the line “It ought to be illegal” which Barry Gibb forgot to sing for his duet with Barbra Streisand.

“Stories to Tell” will be published next Tuesday.
