It appears that once a fan, still a fan and always a fan.
ABBA’s greatest hits compilation “Gold” has become the first record to spend 1,000 weeks on the album charts in England.
It was released in 1992 and is the second biggest-seller of all time in the UK with sales just behind Queen’s Greatest Hits.
“ABBA Gold” has now spent a total of 19 years and 12 weeks in the UK top 100.
On hearing the news, Benny Andersson (above left) joked, “not bad for four old turnips.”
