Toronto figures prominently in the new film Turning Red set for release in March.
The animated movie is billed as a love letter to Canada and features Toronto’s Chinatown, streetcar tracks, the CN tower and the city’s graffiti-covered alleyways.
It’s the story of a 13-year-old girl who transforms into a giant red panda when she gets too excited.
Directed by Canadian Oscar-winner Domee Shi, the movie features Ottawa-born Sandra Oh as one of the voice actors. Shi won the Oscar for her short film Bao.
