TORONTO FC AND CF MONTREAL ALLOWED TO PLAY AT HOME THIS WEEKEND WITH LIMITED FANS

Major League Soccer teams Toronto F-C and C-F Montreal get the green light to play at home this Saturday in front of a limited number of fans.
A league update on Canadian home games only covers the next few weeks with two TFC and one Montreal match affected.
A spokesperson for TFC says 7,000 will be allowed Saturday against Orlando at BMO Field, and 15,000 next Wednesday against the New York Red Bulls.
It’ll be the first time a Toronto sports team has hosted a visiting American club with fans since COVID-19 hit.
Toronto has not played at BMO Field since September 1 when no fans were allowed.
It’s played 31 games since on the road, finishing last season in East Hartford, Conn., and beginning this season in Orlando.
The last time fans were allowed at BMO Field for a TFC games was March 7, 2020 – the second regular season game.
Up to 5,000 will be permitted at Saputo Stadium in Montreal Saturday for a match with F-C Cincinnati.
The Vancouver Whitecaps remain in their temporary U.S. home in Utah.
Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are negotiating to return to the Rogers Centre.
Currently, the major league team’s in Buffalo after starting the season at its spring training facility in Dunedin, Florida.
