This year marks the 20th anniversary of the late Gord Downie’s album Coke Machine Glow and now and expanded version called Songwriters’ Cabal is being re-released next month.

Two decades later, fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at his first solo project that also features the original two-disc set and a bonus record of twelve unreleased demos, alternate versions and outtakes.

At the same time, a star-studded cast will recite Downie’s poetry in a new audio book.

Readers include actor Dan Aykroyd, sportscaster Ron MacLean, and singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer.

Downie died in 2017 after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He was 53.
