When the men’s 200-metre final takes place Wednesday morning (8:55 ET), Andre De Grasse will not be the only Canadian.
Nor was De Grasse the only Canadian to win a semi-final Tuesday, but he did set a new Canadian record with a time of 19.73 seconds.
Aaron Brown had a time of 19.99, four-thousands off his personal best.
Not since 1928 have two Canadians qualified for a 200-m Olympic final.
That’s when Percy Williams, took gold and John Fitzpatrick came in 5th.
”We just want to make history and make Canada proud,” says Brown.
