"JOSEPHINE THE PLUMBER" DIES AT 95

She was a child movie star in the 1930s, but most Zoomers will remember her as “Josephine the Plumber.”

At age 8, Jane Withers played tomboyish brats on film countering Shirley Temple’s wholesome personae of the time.

She once told an author that at the end of most of her child, movies, just to satisfy everybody, she got good spanking.

Her adult roles included playing the neighbour of Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson in “Giant,” in 1956.  But it was Josephine that defined her acting career.

Jane Withers died over the weekend in California. She was was 95.
