Prolific Canadian Crime novelist Louise Penny has written another whodunit sure to bring chills and thrills with an angle on the pandemic.
The 63-year old Toronto-based, Order of Canada member, is publishing the 17th book in her Inspector Gamache series; this one is called “The Madness of Crowds.”
The action is set in Quebec, in the aftermath of the COVID crisis, with vaccines in plentiful supply and society opening back up.
But then, a visiting professor promotes theories that elevate morally repugnant ideas through the slogan “all will be well.”
Murder eventually ensues and the Quebec village of Three Pines is, once more, transformed from a safe haven into a nest of vipers.
The book is available next Tuesday
