The U.S. has once again extended restrictions for Canadians hoping to head south.
The U.S. Department of Homeland security announced restrictions on land and ferry crossings from Canada and Mexico will be extended through September 21.
Restrictions were set to expire Saturday.
Essential trade and travel will still be allowed into the U.S. but Canadians hoping to get across the border are out of luck for at least another month.
The Canadian border has been open to fully vaccinated Americans for non-essential travel since August 8.
