The Trudeau Liberals are facing criticism on social media for editing a video that shows Conservative Leader O’Toole speaking about the benefits of private healthcare.

In the video from July of last year, O’Toole said, “We have to find public-private synergies and make sure that universal access remains paramount.”

But the video has been edited, leaving out O’Toole’s support for universal healthcare.

Justin Trudeau went even further with false accusations against O’Toole while in Miramichi, New Brunswick on Sunday.

“We just saw today that Erin O’Toole in the pandemic came out clearly in favour of a private for-profit healthcare system for Canada,” Trudeau declared, “Shame on you, in a pandemic no less.”

The short video of O’Toole was posted on Twitter by Liberal Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland. She later tweeted the full video of O’Toole’s response.
