A Hungarian orchestra conductor did his part to encourage people to go get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Ivan Fischer of the Budapest Festival Orchestra received a vaccine booster shot onstage during a free open-air concert in Budapest.
Fisher didn’t even have to roll up his sleeve as he came prepared. During the show, he took off his jacket and revealed a hole already cut into his dress shirt ready to be vaccinated.
He didn’t even skip a beat and continued conducting with the baton in one arm while a doctor administered a shot into the other.
It was Fisher’s third dose. The audience applauded as the shot was administered.
The vaccination effort in Hungary has stalled with more than 32% of the population having not received even a first dose.
