Every time we head into a long weekend, there’s always the question: “is that place open today?”

Well, here’s a list of places that will be closed for the Labour Day holiday on Monday.

-LCBO stores and The Beer Store;
-Government offices;
-Municipal buildings;
-Banks;
-Toronto Public Library branches (closed Sunday and Monday)

Other than the government buildings, there’s no set open or closed rule so make sure to plan ahead if you plan on going out.

Many malls are also closed like Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Scarborough Town Centre so check before you go. The Eaton Centre, Square One and Toronto Premium Outlets are among those that will be open all weekend.

Also check to see if your local grocery store will be open on the holiday Monday. Some, but not all are open, so make sure you check the availability for your local stores.

The TTC will operate on a holiday service while GO Transit will run a Sunday schedule.

Many attractions like the Toronto Zoo, the Hockey Hall of Fame and Ontario Science Centre will be open but the Royal Ontario Museum will be closed on the holiday Monday.
