Her words put American comedy icon Bill Cosby in jail. Now her mission is to change the loophole that allowed him out.
Toronto’s Andrea Constand is making the media rounds after the release of her memoir, “The Moment,” detailing her singular experience with Cosby and the U.S. criminal justice system.
Though more than 50 women had accused Cosby of sexual misconduct, it was Constand’s direct testimony that led to Cosby’s conviction.
The 48-year old former professional basketball player and coach at Temple University in Pennsylvania says she has no regrets about pursuing the case despite the court’s decision to set aside the conviction on a technicality. She says she was heard at Cosby’s trial.
