The Toronto International Film Festival is back.
It kicks off tonight with an emphasis on the big screen and on big pandemic precautions. The festival is a hybrid event this year; offering screenings at more indoor venues than last year’s smaller showcase, which was largely held online.
The festival opens officially tonight with a screening of the movie version of “Dear Even Hansen.”
The main venues, The Princess of Wales Theatre and Roy Thomson Hall, will operate at half capacity. Anyone entering any of the TIFF venues must wear masks, socially distance and show proof they have been fully vaccinated or have tested negative within the previous 48 hours.
