Fans of the world’s best known secret agent will have a chance on Sunday to “fly like a spy.”
A model of a Bell 47G Helicopter, used in the filming of the 1967 Bond classic, “You Only Live Twice,” goes on the block at an H & H Classics auction in London this weekend and is expected to go for upwards of $25-thousand.
This particular model is believed to be the last remaining of four original props created just for that film. However, this model is significantly larger and more impressive than the only other example ever sold publicly.
It’s 3 metres in length, a metre and a half high and was built specifically for Pinewood Studios.
It’s being sold with one caveat; it doesn’t fly. But, it can be made to.
