Premier Doug Ford says a plan to ease restrictions that he’ll release later this week will “stand the test of time” and adds he never wants to shut down the economy again.
“We’ve been working on it for weeks and weeks actually,” said Ford. “Stay tuned, we’ll have it this week sometime but we’ll nail it down.”
Premier Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott were speaking in Windsor Essex to announce 9.8 M in planning money for a new hospital in that region.
Asked why the government will allow the use of vaccine certificates without the new QR code that can be easily forged, Ford points to seniors who may not always carry around a cell phone.
With election less than a year away, Ford says he’s ‘bound and determined’ to learn French but that the pandemic has forced him to stop taking lessons, but says he practices all the time.
