If you liked Canadian director Denis Villeneuve’s version of “Dune,” you’ll be delighted to learn there will be a sequel which will premiere exclusively in theatres in 2023.
The current version of the 54-year old film maker’s “Dune” adapts the first half of Frank Herbert’s 1965 science-fiction epic and has been winning rave reviews right around the world.
Villeneuve’s “Dune” launched here over the weekend with more than $40-million in ticket sales in Canada and the US.
So far it has grossed more than $225-million worldwide.
