NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is denying there’s a formal agreement for his party to support the Liberals.
“There is no agreement of that nature before us, we are prepared to find ways to make the government work, or the parliament work for the people and we’re open to discussions about how we can make parliament work to deliver what people need but there is no agreement.”
He points to paid sick leave and other areas where there could be agreement.
Singh says making life more affordable for Canadians and taking action on climate crisis are his party’s top two priorities.
Earlier, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole said the Liberals are promising billions in new spending to buy the NDP’s silence and avoid accountability.
Singh calls that accusation “patently false.”
