The Ontario government has once again voted against paid sick days in a vote in the legislature.

The NDP and others were urging the Ford government to enshrine 10 paid sick days for all workers into law, plus an additional 14 paid sick days during any pandemic.

In a statement, the New Democrat MPP Jill Andrew says Doug Ford is ” disrespecting workers once again” and adds that the government has now said no to permanent paid sick days over 25 times.

She goes on to says that “Doug Ford’s measly temporary three paid sick day program ends at the end of the year.”
