The Ontario COVID-19 vaccine booking portal is now offering third dose boosters to Ontario residents 50 and older who are at least 168 days out from their second COVID-19 shot.
People may also book directly with a pharmacy or a doctor’s office.
Justin Bates is CEO of the Ontario Pharmacists Association and told The Morning Zoom with Sam and Jane on Monday, he feels those who are already 168 days from their second shot should be able to get the third shot within a couple of days.
“Some might have it available that same day. It just depends on the demand at particular pharmacies. So, look around your local areas. There are other channels around including some of these public health clinics, they’re still operating and primary care physicians, so between the three, it’s an all team, all hands on deck effort. There will be lots of appointments starting today and the next few days,” Bates explained.
The government website to book is ontario.ca/covid19.
