For most people, today is just December 23rd, two days before Christmas. But for fans of the old Sienfeld TV comedy series, it’s “Festivus.”
The off screen backstory goes; The idea of “Festivus” was originally created in 1966 by Daniel O’Keefe, the father of Dan O’Keefe, one of the Seinfeld writers.
The holiday is all about is the airing of grievances, where one gets to share with the people around you how they have disappointed you over the last year.
So while some people celebrate Christmas, it’s Festivus for the rest of us.
