Bob Saget’s widow is speaking publicly for the first time since her husband’s death.

Kelly Rizzo spoke with Good Morning America and recounted the last conversation she had with her husband hours before he died on January 9th.

She says Bob had called her after leaving his Orlando comedy show to let her know how it went.

“He was just on his way back to his hotel and was telling me what a wonderful show he had had and it was so amazing and he was just happy and loving what he did. It made him so happy to bring laughter to people,” 42 year old Rizzo explained.

Rizzo, 42, said he had no health concerns and was feeling ‘great’ when he died suddenly.

“All I’ll point to is that last post of his where he said he felt 26,” she said, referring to her husband’s tragic final Instagram post where he talked about his joy being back on stage.

She said he had COVID recently but that it was “nothing serious” and that he otherwise felt “great.”

The pair was about to celebrate their third wedding anniversary when he died in a hotel room in Orlando earlier this month. It’s unclear what caused the 65-year-old’s death.

No cause of death has been announced. Foul play and drug use were immediately ruled out.

Bob Saget was 65.
