Peel Police say it was a tragic circumstance and not neglect in a Brampton fire that killed three boys aged 9, 12 and 15.
Constable Akhil Mooken says a Mother who lived at the home was taking another child to school and returned to find the townhouse near Torbram and Clark engulfed in flames.
“All the children who died are all related, the specific nature of their relationship I’m not in a position to share as we want to make sure to give the family as much time as possible to grieve,” said Constable Mooken.
Police are working with Brampton fire officials and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office to determine the cause of the fire and say this serves as a tragic reminder to check to make sure your smoke detectors are working
Meantime, another fire in Toronto on Gladstone Avenue east of Dufferin has left two people dead, a 90 year old woman died at the scene and a man who died later in hospital.
