The sounds of silence are to return to downtown Ottawa now that an Ontario Superior Judge has granted an injunction to prevent protesting truckers from honking incessantly.
”Tooting a horn is not an expression of any great thought I’m aware of,” said Justice Hugh McLean.
The injunction is temporary as the judge says he needs to hear more evidence, but has heard enough to make this ruling.
The request came out of a proposed class-action lawsuit filed Friday, by lawyer Paul Champ who’d argued the honking is causing irreparable harm.
