Ontario will require school boards to offer virtual learning as an option for one more school year.
The province announced its funding for the next school year including $26 billion to school boards amounting to just over $13-thousand per student, an increase over last year.
Ontario is also investing in tutoring programs, reading intervention programs, summer programs, and mental health promotion.
And the standardized tests will resume for Grades 3 and 6.
Some boards had asked the province to cancel the Grade 9 math assessment this year, but the government said that making the test digital gives students greater flexibility in writing it.
