Two major Canadian talents are among the recipients of this year’s Governor General’s Performing Arts Award
Victoria B.C.’s David Foster helped launch the career of superstars like Celeine Dion. Michael Buble and Josh Groban and has produced many musical hits over the years.
Tomson Highway is the renowned Indigenous Canadian playwright, novelist, and children’s author.
He is best known for his plays “The Rez Sisters” and “Dry Lips Oughta Move to Kapuskasing.”
The Governor General’s awards will be present in May.
