Conservative leadership candidate Patrick Brown has launched an attack on his opponent Pierre Poilievre, accusing him supporting discriminatory policies that target immigrants.

Poilievre pitched new policies on Monday that he said will make it easier for skilled immigrants to practice their professions in Canada.

But Brown is accusing Poilievre of supporting the proposed niqab ban at citizenship ceremonies and a hotline to report “barbaric cultural practices” such as sexual slavery or so-called “honour killings.” Both were part of the 2015 Conservative election platform.

As a result, Brown add that Poilievre has no credibility announcing policies that impact immigrants because he never publicly stood against policies that disproportionately impact them.
