Addressing Canadian MPs and senators via video link, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Canada to do more to help his people.
Speaking through a translator, he made references to Canadian cities and landmarks, asking Canadians to try to imagine how they would feel if Russia targeted them.
The Ukrainian leader repeated his call for western countries to establish a no-fly zone to block Russian airstrikes.
”We want to live and we want to be victorious. We want to prevail for the sake of life,” Zelenskyy said.
”Can you imagine when you call your friends and nations and you ask to please close the sky, close the air space, please stop the bombing? How many more cruise missiles have to fall on our cities until you make this happen?”
Zelenskyy recently addressed the British Parliament and is to speak to U.S. Congress Wednesday.
