Travellers entering the country will no longer require to take a pre-arrival COVID-19 test starting next month.
The Trudeau government is expected to make it official, possibly as soon as Thursday.
Currently, anyone coming in must show proof of a negative antigen or molecular test with a day of their flight or arrival at the border.
Ottawa will continue randomly testing travellers though because it’s a good way to identify and track variants.
As of February 28, unvaccinated children under the age of 12 entering the country no longer have to quarantine for two weeks.
The vaccine mandate for domestic and international flights departing from Canada, for VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains and cruise ships expires this month.
