Spring officially arrives in Ontario on Sunday at 11:33 a.m.
27 minutes later, the Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns with physical distancing and masks required.
The parade starts at the corner of St. George Street and Bloor Street, West then heads down Yonge Street to Nathan Phillips Square.
Toronto firefighters will be collecting cash and canned goods along the route in support of the daily bread food bank.
Yesterday, in New York, hordes of revellers turned out on 5th Avenue for that city’s famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The parade in New York is the largest and oldest of them all in the United States. It was first held in 1762.
