Thousands of civil servants are returning to Toronto city hall for the first time in two years.
About 20% of city employees have been working remotely since March 2020.
As of today, many are returning as part of a new hybrid arrangement, in which most are expected spend three days-a-week in the office.
Their return coincides with the lifting of the mask mandate in most public settings.
The city of Toronto has said its employees will not be required to wear them at their workplace, in keeping with provincial policy.
The city’s also reopening all public ares at City Hall, as well as the North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, York,  and East York Civic Centres.
Counter services re-opened February 22.
