Here’s an opportunity to own a read piece of Beatles memorabilia as Sir Paul McCartney’s hand written lyrics to Paul’s first song on “Abbey Road” go to auction.
But, you will need deep pockets.
The people at “Moments in Time” Auctions have priced the lyrics at a whopping $450-thousand.
The lyrics were last put on open market in 2006 and fetched $192 thousand. Now, a private collector is looking to unload them for more than double that price.
Paul wrote the lyrics after the band’s trip to India in 1968 and initially wanted the song on the Beatles ‘White Album. It would up on “Abbey Road” after John Lennon referred to the song as “Paul’s granny music.”
