It’s not every day centenarians are offered a long term contract for a new job.

But Hazel McCallion is not your average 101 year old.

The former Mayor of Mississauga who has never retired from a life of business and philanthropy, has been hired for three more years helping to run Toronto Pearson Airport.

This is a re-appointment since she last held the role in 2017.

In 2019 when she was 98, Hazel was chosen as Zoomer Magazine’s cover girl, the most senior person to ever appear on the publication’s cover.

Canada’s Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra tweeted that he’s pleased Hazel has accepted to continue serving the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to play an important role guiding Canada’s largest airport
