TRUDEAU: CANADA WILL SEND HEAVY ARTILLERY TO UKRAINE

Saying there will be more details in the days to come, Justin Trudeau’s announced that Canada is going to send heavy artillery to Ukraine.
The prime minister says he’s been in close contact with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and that Canada is very responsive to Ukraine’s needs, adding Ukrainians have ”fought like heroes.”
Ottawa’s also targeting 14 more individuals with ties to the Kremlin including Vladimir Putin’s daughters; Katerina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova, joining the U.S. and U.K. which made similar announcements recently.

The wife of Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also named in the latest sanctions.
Meanwhile, Russia’s stepping up its battle for control of Ukraine’s eastern heartland, ratcheting up assaults on cities and towns in what both sides describe as a new phase of the war.
