We all love our pets but they don’t live as long as we’d like.
But a furry Florida dog is the exception and has broken the record as the oldest dog alive.
The Guinness World Records has recognized “Toby Keith” – a chihuahua as the worlds oldest living dog.
The Palm Beach County pooch has achieved the title at 21 years and 66 days old.
Toby was born on January 9, 2001.
According to Guinness, the dog’s owner, Gisela Shore, has been with him for the majority of his life after adopting him from an animal shelter when he was just a few months old.
Shore says Toby’s long life is thanks to genetics, a consistent diet and love.
