Former stand up comic, turned talk show host and political influencer, Jon Stewart is now the recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for lifetime achievement in humour.
The 59-year old funnyman, who hosted “The Daily Show” from 1999 to 2015, was recognized by his peers at the Kennedy Center in Washington last night, becoming just the 23rd comedian so honoured.
Fellow comedian Dave Chappelle called Stewart “a cure for what ails” the U-S.
