She was the last surviving daughter of the baron and the would-be nun, whose family was immortalized in the film “The Sound of Music” in 1965.
Rosmarie Trapp was not depicted in “The Sound of Music,” which focused on the seven children Georg von Trapp had with his first wife. She fled Austria with her family in 1938, when she was almost 10, after the Nazi’s came to power.
She performed with the Trapp Family Singers for years but their repertoire included none of the songs later composed by Rodgers and Hammerstein for “The Sound of Music.” which she said was a nice movie but it wasn’t like her life.

Rosmarie Trapp was 93.
