A day ahead of the election, a new poll finds the Liberal Leader in danger of losing his own seat in Vaughan-Woodbridge. But regardless of Thursday’s election results, Steven Del Duca says he’s not resigning.
“I’m not going anywhere, we are just getting started and I’m excited and I’m excited about what the future has in store for Ontario Liberals,” Del Duca told reports during a campaign stop Wednesday. “My neighbours know me, they know that I’ve lived in the community for more than three decades, they know that my wife and I remained in Vaughan-Woodbridge to raise our daughters who attend two publicly funded schools in our community, many of them see me at the grocery store Saturday mornings.”
According to pollster The Signal, Doug Ford’s PC’s will cruise to a second majority winning 75 seats, the NDP with 28, the Liberals 20 and the Greens winning one seat.
In terms of support, the poll finds the PC’s have the support of 37.4%, Liberals at 28% support, NDP with 23% support and the Greens trail with just over 6%.
